Those who wait for everything to be perfect will be left behind. Yes, recycled materials are sometimes even more expensive than new. And no, collaborating with other building partners does not always happen automatically. But someone has to take the first step. We now see in practice that it can and pays off.
Buildings prepared for reuse yield residual value. Circular projects save on raw material costs and reduce CO₂ emissions. And clients - from governments to housing corporations - are increasingly setting sustainability requirements. Those who invest now will soon be better prepared for stricter regulations and a rapidly changing market.
Collaborate with more than 20 construction companies with a wide variety of expertise across the lifecycle of construction works. In our training courses, tooling and programmes, we involve not only relevant partners but also legislators, lawyers and other knowledge experts. And, of course, we establish links with the other 1000+ partners in our network, to bring supply and demand closer together.
Via Transitions works to change markets. Our programmes in agriculture transition, circular textiles and in the construction and infrastructure sectors show that it works. A transition programme is a programme to change a sector. We are currently doing that on biodiversity in agrifood, circularity in textiles and nature inclusiveness in the construction and infra sector. What characterises such a Transition programme is that several parties together hold a solution to a societal problem. Future Up brings these parties together to change this market towards a better future.
