Broodje Natuurlijk

projects

Natural farming - it is a hot topic in politics, among businesses and farmers. And that makes sense: it is not easy for farmers to switch to a form of agriculture that works with nature instead of against it. Even though they often want to. That is why Future Up is working in the Farmers Naturally programme to strengthen biodiversity in agriculture. But because the proof of the pudding is in the eating, it is also important not to stick to policies and targets. That suits Future Up. And that helps the transition. We introduce you to the Roll of Natural.

What is Sandwich Naturally?

Sandwich Naturally is a concept of Future Up. Within this concept, we develop attractive and tasty sandwiches - or other food items - with and for provinces, ministries, municipalities or regions. All products on the sandwich come from natural agriculture and thus contribute to strengthening nature and biodiversity. A sandwich meets three conditions:

  1. Super tasteful: by collaborating with (local) chefs we guarantee: taste is always paramount

  2. Naturally local: the main ingredients come from natural farming and as much as possible from the respective region

  3. Price: affordable for everyone and a fair price for the farmer

With the sandwiches, we create an outlet for farmers who work regeneratively and together with nature ánd we show how good pure nature tastes.

Meet the different Sandwiches Naturally

Broodje Utrecht

In March 2024, we launched the first Broodje Natuurlijk: the Broodje Utrecht, a collaboration between Utrecht caterers, food producers, farmers and restaurants.

Nijmegen sandwich

In collaboration with local farmers committed to sustainable agriculture and biodiversity, we created a sandwich that has been available at Radboudumc and Radboud University Nijmegen since January 2025.

Amsterdam sandwich

With Broodje Natuurlijk Amsterdam, we want to inspire buyers and parties in Amsterdam to choose natural food and drinks. Available to order from now at the Lokalist.

Sandwich Rotterdam

No fuss, but pure and tough - just like the city and its inhabitants themselves. Following the principles of Het Nieuwe Nassen: the region's buyers' collective supporting nature-inclusive farmers and biodiversity. Available to order via The Lokalist.
