With the Paris Climate Agreement, international agreements were made to prevent the average temperature from rising more than two degrees Celsius by 2050. To reach this goal, it is important that you reduce your negative impact to a minimum. Among other things, by reducing your CO2 emissions and energy consumption. In this Community of Practice, you will align your organisation's climate strategy with the Climate Agreement.
In this Community of Practice, you meet four times with the same group to work on your organisation's climate strategy. Uniquely, you do this together with companies with a similar objective, so you act together and learn from each other. You do this partly by discussing what you encounter and exchanging practical experiences with each other.
You will receive guidance from three expert organisations: Climate Neutral Group, South Pole and Carbon Trust. A key method for this: Science Based Targets (SBTs). These are science-based emission targets that, in proportion to the nature and size of your company, are sufficient to meet the Paris Climate Agreement. You will learn more about this method and explore how it supports your organisation in setting and achieving your targets;
Via an intake interview, you determine your personal learning goals in advance, to which we link interim assignments. You then deal with implementation issues in the group. How do you steer towards your objectives? How do you gain internal support and approval from your management? How do you communicate and report on them?
"From the CoP, I not only got a lot of useful knowledge, I also got a lot of energy from it."
Martijn Oudshoorn, Sustainability advisor at PGGM

The cost for this Community of Practice is Є1,997,-. Partners of MVO Nederland benefit from a discount and pay an adjusted rate of Є997,- for single or duo participation. Is your organisation not yet a MVO Nederland partner? See which partnership suits you and become a partner.
"Thanks to the CoP, I know where to find what information and understand how to approach an application."

What are Science Based Targets?
Science Based Targets (SBT) are targets based on scientific insights. They provide a thorough analysis of your emissions and reduction plans. Using these targets will give you insight into the extent to which your targets, adapted to the nature and size of your business, are sufficient to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.Learn more about the Science Based Targets.
