Community of Practice: getting started with due diligence and supply chain responsibility (CSDDD)

Many large companies face the challenge of tackling pollution and exploitation in their international supply chains, now that the EU has adopted the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). This law, also known as the chain-of-care law, IMVO law or the 'anti-avoidance law', places a heavy responsibility on companies to identify and address risks in their chains.

Complying with this law can be a complex and time-consuming task, especially if companies do not know exactly how to integrate due diligence and supply chain responsibility into their operations. The risk of non-compliance can lead to considerable legal and reputational damage.

CSR Netherlands offers a practical solution with the Community of Practice: getting started with due diligence and chain responsibility. Here, you will learn how to effectively integrate human and environmental awareness into your organisation so that you comply with the CSDDD while minimising your business risks.

Don't miss it! Register before 13 November at the bottom of the page. Places fill up quickly, so be on time.

Wat is een Community of Practice?

A Community of Practice brings companies together to learn and help each other around a particular topic. This is ideal: you learn from others, get guidance from experts and find immediately applicable solutions. This way, you make the step from planning to action simple and effective.

500+ companies went before you

More than 500 companies have already participated in our Communities of Practice on topics such as CSRD, carbon pricing, Science Based Targets, due diligence and circularity. Participants give us an average of 8.

Learn from experts and peers

In this Community of Practice, you meet five times with the same group to work on chain responsibility within your organisation. What is unique is that you do this together with companies with similar objectives, so you act together and learn from each other. You do this partly by discussing what you encounter and exchanging practical experiences with each other.

At the end of this Community of Practice:

  • Do you know exactly what due diligence entails;

  • Have a good basis for drafting and/or tightening (IMVO) policies;

  • Do you know how to provide insight into your supply chain and look beyond direct suppliers;

  • Do you know how to identify, assess and prioritise risks;

  • Do you have visibility into different stakeholders in your chains and know how to engage them;

  • Can you start addressing risks to make your chains more sustainable;

  • Do you know what you can - and should - communicate about to the outside world.
